PE Learning Journey
For a quick overview of the skills and sports covered in each year during PE, including GCSE, you can see our learning journey.
Key Stage 3
Key Stage Three will be following a rotation of sports; working within isolated practises and game situations for each activity. They will also be developing their fitness levels, communication skills, and their ability to evaluate personal strengths and weaknesses. The sports are listed on our learning journey above.
GCSE Physical Education
We offer GCSE PE (9-1) from Edexcel as our option, but pupils also study PE as part of their core curriculum.
The course is split into an exam worth 60% and practical skills worth 40%.
All pupils studying core PE will be selecting their own sports and activity pathways, developing both individual and team skills, and personal fitness. .
