Learning Support

The Learning Support Department provides help for children experiencing difficulty with their learning. Our priorities are to ensure the individual needs of our pupils are met through a wide range of strategies. These include a Year 7 Key Skills group, specialist literacy and numeracy recovery programmes, individual withdrawal for pupils with specific difficulties and lots of in-class support provided by a team of high quality Learning Support Assistants.

The school employs the external services of specialist teachers, educational psychologists, occupational therapists and the autistic outreach team.

For information on the local Special Educational Needs Support (SENS) offer, you can visit Dudley Council's website.

As a school, we have developed an accessibility plan as well as our SEN Information Report.

To discuss our SEND offer, please contact school reception on (01384) 816015 and leave a message for Mrs C Lawrie, Associate Assistant Headteacher & SENDCo.
