Careers Education

Careers Education

From the beginning of Year 7, one of our priorities is to provide pupils with excellent information, advice and guidance regarding their future career and life.

All pupils have opportunities to partake in work experience during year 10 and we offer other work-related learning opportunities through the varied curriculum pupils are provided with.

During Year 11, students are provided with a wealth of information and opportunities to aid them with their Post-16 decisions. Students will be encouraged to sign up to careers interviews, receive visits from Connexions and be supplied with news on college events throughout the year.

Louisa Harris, The Wordsley School’s Connexions Personal Adviser, can be contacted via the office number or is usually in school to see students on Tuesdays.

Provider Access Agreement Policy

This policy statement sets out the school’s arrangements for managing the access of providers to pupils at the school for the purpose of giving them information about the provider’s education or training offer. This complies with the school’s legal obligations under Section 42B of the Education Act 1997.

Year 10 Careers Week

Monday 5th - Friday 9th July 2021

As Work Experience is not taking place this year due to Covid regulations, we are pleased to be offering a careers focus week to Year 10. This week will involve looking at personal statements and looking at the range of routes and options for Post-16.
